Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 July 2025

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using any VoidBat software, browser extensions, or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

VoidBat Ltd is a company registered in England & Wales ("VoidBat", "we", "us", or "our"). Our registered office is in the United Kingdom.

2. Description of Service

VoidBat provides lightweight Chrome browser extensions that automate repetitive browser tasks and improve productivity. We offer both free and paid subscription plans as described on our Pricing page. Features may vary between plans and are subject to change.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract to use our paid services. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Accounts

To access certain features you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis via our payment processor (Stripe). All prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method automatically at the start of each billing period.

Subscription fees are non-refundable except as described in Section 6 (Refund Policy) or as required by applicable law. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account.

6. Refund & Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to paid features until then.

If you are a consumer based in the United Kingdom or European Union, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of first purchasing a subscription (the "cooling-off period") and receive a full refund, provided you have not made substantial use of the paid features during that period.

Outside the statutory cooling-off period, refunds are issued at our discretion. To request a refund, contact us at [email protected] with your order details.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from our extensions.
  • Resell, sublicence, or redistribute the Service without written permission from VoidBat.
  • Use automated means to access or scrape the Service beyond normal extension functionality.
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code into the Service.
  • Impersonate VoidBat or any of its employees or representatives.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, software, trademarks, and logos associated with the Service are the property of VoidBat Ltd or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in such intellectual property other than the limited licence to use the Service as described herein.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use our extensions for your own personal or internal business purposes, in accordance with these Terms.

9. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service you consent to our data practices as described there.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with or links to third-party services such as the Chrome Web Store and Stripe. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party services.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VoidBat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) £50.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VoidBat Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or breach of these Terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the changes are material, notify you by email or via the extension. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
